Audi A3: Foremost trial mules of next production spotted
The next-generation Audi .3 will arrive 2011, but now the first test mules have been spotted in the wild. Have . close look!
These are the first images of the next-gen .3, depicting . test-mule disguised under the sheet metal of the current Mark VI VW Golf. Audi has been using VW bodies lately for its test-mules, including . Polo body for its upcoming .1 minicar and . Tiguan body for its .3. The images reveal that the next .3 will have . slightly wider track than the Golf, which itself is already similar in size to the current .3. This means that the next .3 will be bigger than the current model, allowing adequate space for . new .1 and possibly an .2 model.
Furthermore, Audi ’. latest-generation .8..4 grew in length by 14cm over its predecessor, positioning it closer to the 5-series and .-Class in terms of size. The gap left behind will be filled by . new .3-based sedan, which German magazine Autobild reports will stretch 4.2. in length and feature coupe-like styling.
