Now, make no mistake: I’m as pristine as a precisionist can be. I’m all about the manual delivery, particularly a sort found in sports cars such as a Porsche 911. 6 forward speeds, a pithy purchase, the short-throw shifter and the distinct pleasure of a well-executed heel-and-toe downshift. Sorcery, pristine as well as simple. I love the manual transmission and I’m not nonetheless prepared to mourn its unavoidable demise WE give it five years, max.) But whilst I entirely enjoyed my time behind a wheel of the Carrera S fitted with a 6-speed primer, the optional 7-speed PDK, I quickly learned, is capable of total brandnew levels of cunning.
