2001 Honda S2000 Front Damper/Spring Removal as well as Installation


Removal 1. Raise a front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in a correct locations. 2. Remove the front wheel. 3. Remove the prong shaft (A) as well as stop hose mounting joint (B) from a check. 4. Remove the cotter pin (A) from the lower arm ball joint, then remove the palace nut (B). 5. Disconnect a lower arm ball corner from the reduce arm using the round corner thread protector and a ball corner remover. 6. Remove the prong nuts (A) from a tip of the check. 7. Remove a flange bolt (A) at a bottom of the damper. 8. Lower the reduce arm, and remove a check assembly (A). NOTE: Be clever not to repairs the body.

Installation 1. Lower the reduce arm, and position a check public (A) in the body. NOTE: Be clever not to damage a body. 2. Loosely install the new prong nuts (A) onto the tip of a check studs. 3. Position a bottom of the check on a reduce arm (A), and connect a reduce arm and the reduce round corner (B). 4. Install a brand new flange bolt (C), and easily tighten. 5. Raise the cessation until the vehicle only lifts off the reserve mount. 6. Install the palace nut (A) onto a lower arm round joint pin, as well as tighten it to a reduce torque specification, afterwards tighten it usually far sufficient to align the slot with the ball joint pin hole. Do not align the castle bulb by relaxation it. 7. Install the new cotter pin (B) after tightening the castle nut, and bend its finish as shown. 8. Tighten the flange shaft joining a check bottom to a reduce arm to a specified torque value. 9. Tighten a flange nuts on the top of a damper to a specified torque value.
