De Tomaso to becomes Italy’s Aston Martin

After a De Tomaso Deauville was suggested at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, it was already transparent that a company had intentions to revitalise a famous De Tomaso Pantera, so there’s no headlines there. But in more statements from a show, De Tomaso sales as well as selling trainer Gianluca Rossignolo, has revealed more of a company’s plans to grow.
We consider it will substantially be the onslaught to get the new De Tomaso company plan off the belligerent, quite as the initial product, the Deauville, didn’t beget the accolades to make things some-more gentle. Still, a sedan-crossover model is headed for manufacture during a newly propitious plant, and De Tomaso hopes to make about 3,000 units the year starting from 2012.
It will be assimilated by the prospect Pantera supercar as well as the customary four-door limousine. The company is aiming tall upon the opulence stakes, with Rossignolo observant: “I would like to think which we could turn the Italian Aston Martin, dealing in a same kind of exclusive luxury and craftmanship.”
While Europe will substantially infer to be a main De Tomaso marketplace, there is plenty of interest from China. Particularly if the association can pull off the “Italian Aston Martin” ambition, a direct in that marketplace for luxury Italian products is high. Is there room for the new player? We’ll have to wait and see what the prospect brings.
